Home VYEPTI Therapy for Chronic Migraine

Living with chronic migraine means managing a condition that affects every aspect of your life.

VYEPTI offers prevention through quarterly infusions — and home infusion means receiving treatment in an environment you control, free from the triggers that clinical settings often present.

Understanding chronic migraine

Chronic migraine is defined as experiencing 15 or more headache days per month, with at least 8 of those days featuring migraine symptoms — the throbbing pain, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and other symptoms that make normal functioning nearly impossible.
If you’re living with chronic migraine, you already know how profoundly it affects your life. Work, relationships, family, hobbies — everything gets filtered through the lens of “will this trigger a migraine?” and “can I afford to be out of commission if one hits?” The unpredictability is exhausting, and the cumulative impact is often invisible to those who haven’t experienced it.
You’ve likely tried many treatments: over-the-counter medications, prescription preventives, lifestyle modifications, maybe even Botox injections. For some patients, these approaches work well. For others, chronic migraine persists despite their best efforts. If that’s been your experience, VYEPTI offers a different approach.

How VYEPTI works

VYEPTI (eptinezumab) is a preventive treatment that works by blocking calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), a protein involved in migraine attacks. CGRP is released during migraines and contributes to the pain and other symptoms you experience. By neutralizing CGRP, VYEPTI helps prevent migraines before they start.
Unlike daily pills or monthly injections, VYEPTI is administered as an IV infusion every three months — just four treatments per year. The infusion itself takes about 30 minutes, making it one of the shortest infusion therapies available.
Many patients notice improvement quickly, sometimes even after the first infusion. Clinical studies showed patients experienced fewer monthly migraine days, and some patients achieved 50% or greater reduction in migraine frequency. While results vary, VYEPTI has helped many chronic migraine patients regain significant quality of life.

Why home infusion for VYEPTI?

For migraine patients, where you receive treatment matters as much as the treatment itself. Home infusion offers unique advantages that clinical settings simply can’t match.
Treatment without triggers
Think about what a hospital or infusion center typically involves: fluorescent lighting, often flickering or harsh. The smell of cleaning products and antiseptic. Noise from other patients, staff conversations, equipment. Air that’s either too cold or too warm. Other patients who may be wearing perfume or cologne.
For most people, these are minor inconveniences. For migraine patients, they’re potential triggers. The last thing you want is to walk into your preventive treatment appointment and walk out with a migraine attack starting.
Home infusion eliminates all of this. You control your environment completely. Your lighting. Your temperature. Your quiet space with no unexpected smells. The treatment designed to prevent your migraines is delivered in a setting that won’t cause one.
Rest immediately if needed
Even with a 30-minute infusion, some patients feel tired or notice mild symptoms afterward. At home, you can rest immediately — no driving, no navigating your way out of a medical building, no waiting for someone to pick you up.
No driving with symptoms
Even a mild headache can make driving unsafe. When treatment comes to you, you don’t have to worry about how you’ll get home if you’re not feeling 100% — you’re already there.
Making each infusion count
With only four infusions per year, each one matters. A negative experience at a clinical facility can make patients reluctant to continue treatment. Home infusion removes that barrier to adherence.
Physician-directed care

Your Vyepti therapy is overseen by a clinical team led by a medical director who specialize in infusion care — not simply filled by a pharmacy. Clinical decisions, monitoring, and adjustments are overseen by clinicians with deep expertise in Vyepti therapy.
