Eligibility Assessment

Most Patients Are Excellent Candidates. Here's How to Know If You're One of Them.

You’ve heard about home infusion. The idea of receiving treatment in your own living room sounds almost too good to be true. So you’re wondering: Does this actually apply to me?

The short answer, for most patients on maintenance infusion therapy: yes.

The Patients Who Thrive with Home Infusion

Home infusion works best for patients who have moved past the initial treatment phase and into maintenance therapy.

Here’s what makes someone an ideal candidate:

What About Your Specific Situation?

“I’ve only had a few infusions so far.”
Initial infusions typically happen in clinical settings to establish tolerance. Once stable—often after two to four infusions—transitioning home is usually straightforward.
“I’ve had a reaction before.”
Many patients with reaction histories are excellent candidates. Home nurses carry emergency medications and provide one-on-one attention that may actually improve reaction detection.
“My veins are difficult.”
Experienced home infusion nurses are often more skilled at challenging access. The consistency of having the same nurse who learns your veins frequently improves success rates.

You don’t need to decide anything right now. The path forward is simple: talk to your doctor. If they agree you’re a candidate, one referral sets everything in motion.
